The Faculty of Business Studies focuses on research and teaching within the fields of economics and business administration and our mission is to educate leaders and experts within these fields. Our education aims for our students to be renowned for a strong academic education with a global emphasis. The curriculum is designed to give qualifications for operating in challenging leading and expert positions in a rapidly changing and globalizing corporate world.
Research
In research, the Faculty’s strength is emphasized in the fields of: Finance and Corporate Analysis, Human Resource Management, Customer and Innovation Management and Business in and International and Intercultural Environment.
Majors and degrees
The Faculty of Business Administration offers five majors: Accounting and Finance, Business Law, Economics, Management and Organization, Marketing and International Business. Successful completion of the programme leads to a degree in Science in Economics and Business Administration at bachelor, masters, licentiate or doctoral level.
Flexible studies
The University of Vaasa provides a range of study options to suit individual requirements. Students are offered an opportunity to choose minors from other faculties and/or universities than your own. Internationalisation is also a key concept at our University and you can complete part of your studies abroad.
