It is possible to apply for studies at the Faculty of technology through three different channels - applying for participation in a master's programme, applying for doctoral studies and applying for studies as an exchange- or visiting student.
MASTER'S DEGREE PROGRAMMES
Applications for the Faculty of Technology's two master's degree programmes (in Telecommunications Engineering and in Industrial Managment) are processed every spring. The application period starts on 1 January and ends on 28 February each year. The new entrants start their studies in the following autumn semester.

DOCTORAL STUDIES

Each year the Faculties of Technology accept a few international doctoral students to work at the faculty on doctoral level. There are no fixed application periods for doctoral students. Information on admission requirements, application instructions, and Fees can be found HERE

EXCHANGE- OR VISITING STUDENTS
Application for Exchange studies at the University of Vaasa is normally done through a bilateral university exchange programme (e.g. ERASMUS, NORDPLUS and bilateral agreements), while the status of Visiting student can be awarded those who are not participating in any exchange programme and do not qualify for degree student status - mainly suitable for foreigners already residing in Finland.
