The aim of the graduate school is to provide all post-graduates of the university an equal possibility to research education of high standards. The goal is to contribute to methodicalness and timely progress of research. The students and supervisors are expected to commit to the aims and time limits they agree to together.
The purpose of a doctoral degree is that students display their ability to independent and critical thinking in their research area, and that they grow to be independent researchers and members of the scientific community. The focus is on in-depth understanding of scientific theories and ability to produce new scientific knowledge.
